The only way to fix the crashes it causes on 30xx series cards is to downgrade the drivers to 528.49 (game runs buttery smooth) or wait for NVIDIA to come out with a fix and new drivers. The Last of Us on Steam Deck runs surprisingly well given that it has technical difficulties on many PCs. As players report, the game is playable with the default settings being the most balanced. It is also really important to let the game build the shaders first, as it may prevent it from potential crashes (we write about it more here ). Lastly if you have a look at steam charts vs. reported sales records for PS, Xbox and Nintendo you can clearly see that Steam is dominating and since Steam is just the biggest but not even the only storefront, considering Epic, Origins, Uplay, GoG, Battlenet etc. you can easily see that PC is the majority system for gamers. The Last of Us Part I currently has a “mostly negative” reputation from more than 6,500 users on Steam, and it’s not something that can be waved off as the usual review-bomb complaining. If you're new to the series, it is absolutely worth the 60 dollars. It's better than the 70 for the PS5. If the price is too much for you, then wait for a sale. I understand people who have played TLOU multiple times being hesitant to spend the money, but it's completely new to you so I don't understand the issue. WaqZ.
